Kemetic Interfaith Network Blog

with 4 comments

Nekhtet!  I´ve been accepted as a blogger on the KIN blog!  What would you like me to write about?  I have a couple ideas in the works, and will link to them here as well.  I am honored to be a part of this, as community is very important and I think this is a good attempt to unite people practicing Kemeticism of all flavors.

  1. Congratulations. I’d like to see stuff about communications between KOs and non-KO practitioners. I’d also like to see offerings stuff and some basic 101s. Maybe even some comments on myths?

    • Thanks for the input! Can you be a little more specific about the communication thing though? One of the posts I had in mind was to focus on Ma´at and go a little more in depth about how community is important for Ma´at, and was going to link to your rant on your blog. I guess now is the best time to ask since we´re already on the topic. I also was going to do a roundup on different posts on offerings, your 101 and 102 included (again if you give me the permish).

Now as for myths, that´s an interesting one. I was inspired by a post by Darkhawk here: http://lettersfromgehenna.blogspot.com.es/2012/06/m-is-for-mythology.html to do some stuff on mythology so yeah, eventually, you will be seeing said stuff.

      • When I mean the communication thing, I mean a lack thereof. We have arenas where those of you who are KO and those of us who are not KO can meet up and chat, but it rarely happens. Out of the number of blogs I follow that are KO-related, I get responses from very few. So, I was thinking something along those lines. Then again, if I get picked up for it, you know I will be talking about that stuff. >:)

I like your Ma’at idea. And I can’t wait to read it.

When you do your round up, make sure you list Devo’s guides and whatnot. She has some awesome advice over there.

  2. Hmm…I´ll try to comment on that in the Ma´at post, since I think it´s mostly a combination of not being able to share temple ritual and information, a bit of pedagogy fail, and misconceptions and antagonism from “more correct” reconstructionists. But if you have any other ideas on that, let me know.

Devo will definitely also be included! You and Devo were the people I had in mind, and I´m not sure who else has done any 101s but I´m sure there are other bloggers commenting on Ma´at.
